The Reset Series
Editorial standards
Thyroid education sits inside one of the internet’s most scam-saturated categories. That obligates us to be unusually transparent about how our content gets made, what rules it follows, and what it will never do.
The boundaries we never cross
- No diagnosis, ever. Nothing we publish can determine whether any person has a thyroid condition, and nothing we publish will imply it can. There are no scored quizzes anywhere on this site, by policy. Diagnosis is blood tests interpreted by a clinician who knows your history.
- No supplement recommendations, no doses, no protocols. Our content discusses the supplement aisle only to report what the evidence actually shows — including documented harms — and routes every genuine question to a doctor or pharmacist. We sell no supplements and never will.
- No medication advice. Absorption-timing facts are presented as documented education with routing to pharmacists; dosing, starting, and stopping belong to prescribers, always.
- The controversy rule. Legitimate debates — reference ranges, the subclinical zone, combination therapy — are presented fairly as questions for your doctor, never as “doctors are missing it.” That framing is the scam industry’s hook, and we exist to be its opposite.
- Crisis information where it belongs. Content touching mood carries the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (US). Emergencies route to 911.
Our evidence rules
We state well-established findings confidently and attribute them in plain prose — the American Thyroid Association, the NIDDK, the Endocrine Society. Statistics come from a small vetted set, softened (“about,” “up to”) rather than dressed in false precision. Where evidence is weak — most of the supplement aisle — we say “the evidence is weak,” and where it’s genuinely debated we show the debate honestly. Reference ranges and treatment thresholds are described as the individualized clinical judgments they are.
How our articles are produced
The Reset Series is an independent publisher, and we use modern tools openly: articles in our Learn library are drafted with AI assistance against a fixed editorial template that encodes our voice, evidence rules, and the boundaries above. Before anything publishes, every draft must pass an automated compliance system that rejects outright any text containing doses, supplement recommendations, medication-change language, diagnosis grammar, or statistics outside our vetted list — a failed check means the article does not publish. The library is additionally reviewed by a human editor on an ongoing basis, and our core guides are written and edited directly.
Corrections
If anything we publish is inaccurate, out of date, or crosses a line above, we want to know more than we want to be right: email hello@thethyroidreset.org and corrections ship quickly. This page is the standard we ask to be held to.
